Description: Whether it is a “brand new” or “same old” IEP, do you know how to read it and where to look for critical information? How can you collaborate with the child study team to meet your child’s unique needs? We will focus on a person-centered approach to your child’s IEP and how to best communicate that to your team. We will discuss strategies for handling meetings where parents and the team are not in agreement. Come and learn tips and advice from fellow mothers who also have professional backgrounds.
Description: In response to recent tragic events regarding deaths on school buses, the Regional Family Support Planning Council shared a survey to gather testimonials from families about their experience with school bus transportation safety for their children with special needs. We want to expand on the survey and host a virtual Family Forum for families that want to provide verbal testimony. We welcome testimonies on current or past experiences.
